Senior Vice President
Charles (Chuck) Carlise is an Arizona native that built his career in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Davis Commercial as Senior Vice President, Chuck was with DeRito Partners Development where he served as the firm’s president for 21 years. During that time, he managed all facets of the development company, its subsidiaries and partnerships, property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and property management. Chuck began as a retail property specialist with Grubb & Ellis in 1986 where he learned the ins and outs of selling and leasing of retail projects and hotel facilities sales and related land parcels. In 1992 he was hired by Grossman Company Properties as the Designated Broker. He spent the next 10 years there and rose to Director of Leasing and Senior Vice President where he led the charge on the purchase, sale and leasing of company-owned retail and office properties.
Chuck brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in development, sales, and leasing to the Davis Commercial team. His portfolio of projects includes the renaissance of the 575,000 square foot Biltmore Fashion Park, the development of The Park at Chandler a 280,000 square foot mixed-use power center/office complex. Chuck partnered with Marty DeRito to develop the 100-acre Chandler Auto Park, the 250-acre mixed-use Mesa Riverview project that includes a 1.3 million square foot shopping center and 40-acre auto mall. In early 2008, they purchased the 1 million square foot Scottsdale Pavilions regional power center (renamed The Pavilions at Talking Stick) to develop and reposition it as a 1.3 million square foot retail/entertainment hub.
Chuck is a longtime member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. As Senior Vice President at Davis Commercial he provides his expertise as a developer and broker, focusing on the firms work with landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers.
When Chuck is not working you may find him on his daily five-mile walk, listening to music and enjoying time with his family.
